Start living your best life with CBT for ADHD
What's getting in your way?
ADHD
ADHD can create difficulties in our day to day lives. We can find ourselves running late, forgetting important events or just everyday items and tasks, struggling to start or complete projects at home, in education or at work, or keeping things tidy and organised. We might find that we fidget and struggle to concentrate when we need to, interrupt others, or talk a lot. If we, or others, focus on what we find hardest this can lead to us losing confidence in ourselves and our abilities. We may try and mask what we have learned people perceive as our deficits. Masking relies on us constantly worrying about what others are thinking about what we are doing and the anxiety this creates is exhausting. We can find ourselves becoming withdrawn and depressed or angry and confused. But it doesn't have to be this way. I can support you to recognise your strengths and use these to ensure your needs are met and help you live your best life
I offer bespoke therapy to support adult ADHDers, those close to them. Working together using a combined coaching/therapy approach we can find ways to find long term solutions for challenges relating to managing ADHD, support with pre-assessment understanding of yourself, or post-assessment processing whether you receive a diagnosis of ADHD or not. Where needed, we can work together to support your mental health needs too. We can look at ways to better manage intense and rapidly changing emotions and mood swings such as rejection sensitive dysphoria. We can find ways to work with your ADHD brain to sustain you and minimise symptoms of depression and low self-esteem, anxiety (social anxiety, generalised anxiety, phobias, OCD, health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder), trauma (including PTSD) - see below for more about these conditions.

I also work with non-ADHDers to manage their mental health using CBT based therapies to help them live their best lives.

How can CBT for ADHD help?
I offer both regular and ad hoc, specialist, supervision around ADHD/neurodivergence for CBT therapists and supervisors
I offer online and face to face training, and support, for employers around ADHD/neurodiversity. Would your team, or managers, benefit from improving their understanding ADHD/neurodiversity and the impact feeling supported at work can have on ADHDers and your business? I am happy to have open, honest discussions around my lived experience including what I have found helpful and what I have not, I am happy to answer any questions and support staff to consider how they perceive ADHD/neurodiversity and the impact this may have on their ADHD/neurodivergent colleagues. Together we can explore ways to work with ADHDers/neurodivergents and build environments where everyone can thrive.
Other services:
ADHD assessment
CBT for ADHD does not currently offer assessment for ADHD. If you think you have ADHD and are wanting an assessment your GP is often a good place to start. Alternatively, see below for private ADHD assessment options.
It is important to help your GP or assessor by giving them a clear understanding of how you believe ADHD is impacting you day to day, how it showed up for you as a child and the impact it has had and continues to have on your education, work and/or social relationships. In most areas GPs are able to refer you to NHS services for assessment, however waiting times and service provision varies depending on location.
